Clonmel Applefest is a four-day feast for the senses celebrating Clonmel’s unique sense of place emanating from its special location, industry, agriculture and heritage. Set in various locations across the town, Applefest offers a vibrant and quality artistic programme incorporating the themes of food, nature and heritage. We invite local residents, families, tourists and anyone with an interest in heritage, food, farming, nature and crafts to celebrate Clonmel’s rich diversity.
This year, Applefest will run from the 26th to 29th of September, and our theme ‘If Walls Could Speak’ will incorporate an exhibition and Spoken Word event at the South Tipperary Arts Centre, a visit from the internationally renowned storyteller Liz Weir, our very popular Apple & Heritage Fair, an extended Bulmers Memory Lane and a town Biodiversity Trail, as well as the new Urban Orchard gathering.
In addition to this, we will have a number of food and heritage events with champions in the fields of apple and food growing, beekeeping, food production and preparation, as well as artists and craftspeople using indigenous materials and sustainable practice who are keen to share their knowledge and skills.
